Only use one patch every 24 hours, apply to the abdomen or back to help provide some relief from your periods.

Our patches are once only use and last 8-12 hours.

Please do not use our patch if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any other medical skin conditions or know you have very sensitive skin.

You should start to feel the menthol working using it's cooling effect in around 15 minutes or so.

Just like a plaster, if you do have a lot of hair sometimes it can be easier to take off during a warm shower :)

You can use it at any time of day, depends on the person!

Unfortunately we don't recommend this, you can always put another one on!

Our patches have been tested for efficacy, side effects and irritation on humans in a controlled setting.

How it works

  • Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus oil has been used as a medicine to relieve pain for centuries it has even been tested in the modern age and has been shown to significantly reduce pain following total knee replacements in randomised controlled trials. It has a variety of constituents but in particular 1,8-cineole has been shown to work as an anti-inflammatory.

  • Menthol

You may commonly find this in other pain relief patches as it has a profound cooling affect but not many people know how it works to relieve pain. Menthol works to produce it’s cooling affect by activating specific receptors in the dermal layer of the skin which in turn also acts to relieve pain. Menthol also works synergistically with our other ingredients as it helps to make our skin’s lipid bilayer more permeable enhancing the absorption of our other ingredients.

  • Boswellia

Boswellia, otherwise known as Frankincense oil has been used for Millenia for medicinal purposes. It has been hailed for a long time as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and widely commended for its therapeutic benefit. We at Period Harmony have carefully selected our oil to contain high amounts of 11-keto-β-boswellic acid and acetyl-β-boswellic acid which work on specific pain receptors

Patch Testing

Our patches are also dermatologically tested and approved by a dermatologist formally after testing on humans. We scientifically tested our patches using a 96-hour cumulative patch test on humans (which is more than you should ever wear one of our patches for in a row). The patch testing demonstrated that our patches did not irritate the skin and were safe to use for long periods of time with no side effects. Despite that we still advise against using the patches if you are pregnant, have any medical skin conditions or have very sensitive skin.
